About Health & Wellness

Many of our neighbors in need experience underlying health conditions due to poor eating as a result of little or no access to quality food. For nearly 15 years, doctors have researched and written peer reviewed case studies that align the social detriments of health due to limited access to healthy food. The proven results: Pre or existing diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Obesity, poor dental hygiene, depression, and anxiety.

Food pantries are the frontline to our food insecure neighbors, and SERVE is the largest and oldest food pantry in our service area. We need to do better for our neighbors and move the needle forward to assist them.

The program series will be hosted by SERVE and feature our wonderful partners. The program will provide confidential wellness checks for our community neighbors and align them with the tools and food items to promote healthy eating through tailored meal options. Together we will promote the benefits of bringing more fresh produce, dairy and healthy grain options into their daily eating plan.
